Emergency Webcast


To Initiate a live webcast to your target audience, complete the following steps:
FIRST: Bring up the webcast transmit application on your computer
(i.e. WinAmp, IceCast, etc.) and place in the transmit mode.
(Check that the microphone is enabled, and speakers are turned off
to avoid feedback).

Contact the EMCOM Network Communications Center and receive
a channel authorization number and password.

Now complete these steps:

To alert receivers of the broadcast, click on the ALERT button 30-60 seconds
prior to beginning the broadcast. IMPORTANT! Make sure that you have selected
the area for broadcast prior to initiating the ALERT!
You may use the following template to aid you in your Emergency Webcast.
Insure that your WebCast Transmission Software is activated, (i.e. WinAmp).
Insure that you microphone is turned ON.
When you are ready to begin the broadcast, click the "BEGIN BROADCAST" button.

NOTE: The text boxes are provided as a convenience for you to make notes
about your broadcast; they are not required to be used.
